Local Conditions

Lawn Care Built for Tumwater's Growing Season

Tumwater gets about 57.8 inches of rain a year, roughly 50% more than Seattle, with most of it falling between October and April. That keeps grass growing fast for a big stretch of the year, and a lawn mowed on the same fixed schedule regardless of growth ends up scalped one visit and shaggy the next. We adjust mowing frequency to how fast the grass is actually growing through the wet months, then ease off again once the dry window from June through August sets in and growth slows, so your lawn holds a consistent height instead of swinging between extremes.

Tumwater’s housing market moves fast right now, with listings averaging around a month to sell, and a well kept lawn is one of the first things a buyer or appraiser notices from the curb. Whether you’re maintaining your property long term or getting it ready to list, a lawn that’s cared for on a consistent schedule holds up better and shows better than one that only gets attention when it’s already overgrown.

I hired Alejandro to clean up a property that had become overgrown was neglected during the spring. He was available upon short notice, prompt with his timing to the site and completed the job when he said he would. They did a phenomenal job sprucing up the yard cutting the grass, removing unwanted overgrown shrubs and blackberry.

I highly recommend Alejandro and his team! They provided exceptional service for three of my landscaping projects so far and will now be my go-to company for all of my landscaping needs! They cleared out overgrown brush around the back of my fence and laid gravel to make a path. They also built a beautiful retaining wall that boost my home's curb appeal for the front side of my home after cutting down a very large and overgrown bush out there. They also clean up everything once complete and are an all-around friendly and hardworking group. Alejandro and his team were incredibly efficient and attentive to my needs and preferences, delivering results that exceeded my expectations. I am so appreciative of these hard workers, I can't say it enough. Thank you so much again!

I have 3 acres of manicured Japanese/English gardens and ponds that would be a sad overgrown patch weeds and blackberries if it wasn't for these guys. I had a lot of different local companies out to help me maintain it and Landscaping & Hard Labor is by far the best value for the money that I could find. They are very hard workers, they are knowledgeable and don't need micromanaging. They are reliable, friendly, show up on time and I've always surprise me with the quality of the work they do. They aren't always the cheapest bid for a job, but you get the kind of service that you would expect from companies that charge double what they do. Learn from my mistakes and consider these people first, before you have to call them to fix the disaster that another "discount" service does. I highly recommend them. They make it so I can actually enjoy my gardens instead of fret over them. Oh and I also use them to clean my roof and gutters. They are great.

My property always looks so great when they are done, from flower beds, weed eating, tree trimming, lawn stuff, fighting blackberry bushes, hauling to the dump... You name it! They are fantastic and I am definitely a happy, repeat customer!

What's Included

What Our Lawn Care Service Includes

Every visit includes mowing at the right height for the season, clean edging along walkways and beds, and trimming in the spots a mower can’t reach. We clear away clippings and debris before we leave, and we’ll flag anything worth knowing about, like standing water after a heavy rain, early weeds, or bare patches, so nothing catches you by surprise later.

Washington’s organics diversion law means yard waste can’t just be left to pile up, so we haul and dispose of clippings and debris responsibly on every visit instead of leaving it for you to deal with. Mower blades are kept sharp so grass is cut cleanly rather than torn, which matters for how it bounces back between visits, especially during the wetter months when lawns are growing the fastest. If your lawn needs something beyond a standard mow, like aeration, dethatching, or overseeding, we’ll flag it and explain what it would involve before adding it to your service.

Pricing

What Affects Lawn Care Cost in Tumwater

Every yard is different, so we don’t quote a flat rate without seeing your property first. Lawn size, how overgrown it currently is, how often you want service, and whether you add extras like edging or cleanup all affect the final price. Book a free site visit and we’ll give you an exact number before any work begins.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Lawn Care in Tumwater WA

We believe in being upfront about how Lawn Care works, so here are answers to what homeowners in Tumwater WA ask us most.

Cost depends on the size of your yard, how overgrown it is, and how often you want service. We provide a free, no obligation quote after a quick site visit so you know the exact price before any work begins.

It depends on the season. Tumwater's wet months from fall through spring push grass to grow faster, so most lawns need more frequent mowing during that stretch, then less once the dry period from June through August slows growth down. We'll recommend a schedule based on what your lawn is actually doing.

Mowing, edging, trimming, and full cleanup of clippings and debris are included every time. We can also add aeration, dethatching, overseeding, or weed control if your lawn needs it.

Yes. Curb appeal matters in a market where homes are moving quickly, and a consistently maintained lawn is one of the easiest ways to make a good first impression on buyers and appraisers.
